My lover

New Lovers' Prayer

Let not love faded leave us jaded
Beached upon cold beds
As we hide from the pain that is etched
On the insides of our eyelids
By looking but not seeing
What lies in front of us
Until we ourselves fade
Into bitterest rust

Let not love hushed-to-grey
Lead us away - to seek out colour
Far from one another, lover
Forgetting that once we lay
Together and were grateful
And joyful
And separate
And did not resent

The heart of the matter

When the happy sunny days are swept away by clouds of change
Distrust
anger
Jealousy
To remain still in the sea of feelings that drown
hurt
doubt
replace
Hold still to what is your freedom
and your hands

The Things we want

The things in life may pass us bye, waiting and wondering when and how and why.
All the plans we made and planed and waited for.

I watched and I never saw the things I built
strong and brightly lit.

Star Gazing

Tonight I feel like stargazing but can't seem to rise from my chair.
Instead Ill read of heaven and wonder what is there.

A Clear Midnight

THIS is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes thou
lovest best.
Night, sleep, and the stars.

Poetry

A Dream Within A Dream

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

The grand ole city

A walk through the city of Quebec in Quebec Canada is a time bending experience. Cobblestone streets, age old forts remodeled into charming and impressive hotels. The flair of mid 18th century Architecture inhabited by on spot bars and eaterys. A truly European city in the heart of North America.
