Time is making a fool of us

"There are two kinds of secrets, those we keep from others and those we hide even from ourselves"

"In periods of rapid personal change, we pass through life as though we are spell cast. we speak in sentences that end before finishing. we sleep heavily because we need to ask so many questions as we dream alone. we bump into others and feel bashful at recognizing souls so similar to ourselves"

“Have your adventures, make your mistakes, and choose your friends poorly — all these make for great stories.” -Chuck PalahniukTime passes and reflection comes more steadily, looking at past ideas, mistakes, and decisions. everything becomes more focused like a camera lends turned to the right degree. It is both a painful and gratifying experience. all i can hope is to not take this learning for grant it. the typical twentysomthing feelings have set in.

  1. Well I haven't hit the "twentysomething feelings" just yet, but I'm close enough lol. I agree that when you gaze back across past decisions, memories, and things that at the time were the center of your focus and of the utmost importance to you it is amazing to see how they are in your opinion now. The things that you gave so much and invested your everything in may be completely out of your life without ever giving you anything to keep in return now. I have done a lot of reflecting this last year of my life and I hope that it's true when I say I have learned and grown from it. Making mistakes or even just decisions is always something that you can learn from my looking back on them once you've seen the outcome. Or even before you see it!
I love what you said about sleeping to much because we are asking questions as we are dreaming alone. True true true.
Once again, kudos on the quotes and the pictures. Even if they aren't your own they are effective! xoxo I love you to the moon and back! You make me starstruck because you are a star :) xoxoxo God bless you Kiki!
